The PAPA Orange County Luncheon was held on Saturday July 25
I want to start this month’s recap by reminding all of the PAPA system motto:
“No Call Goes Unanswered.”
PAPA OC held its July meeting on July 25th starting with a VE session. Congrats to the 4 Technicians upgraded to General and the one General upgraded to Amateur Extra!
Bill Gargano KG6BIL started with introductions. Darren Hauptman W6USN followed the introductions with a detailed update on PAPA repeaters. And congrats on the new call, Darren!
The raffle was held and Mike Wing, KN6LJF selected an AnyTone radio. Congrats Mike!
This month’s guest speaker was Charles S. “Scott” MacGillivray, KM6RTE. Charles spoke to the group, sharing his personal perspective on Auxiliary Communications in Orange County. In his talk, Charles explained the difference between Auxiliary Communications and Emergency Communications. He handed out copies of his presentation. The entire presentation is quite extensive.
