We will be offering ham license testing at 8am for Technician, General and Amateur Extra class licenses. Cost is $15 payable by check or cash. To RSVP for the VE session, please email Keith, AI6BX at ai6bx@arrl.net

In conjunction with our test sessions, PAPA has re-instituted our “Technician’s Raffle”. One lucky new Technician will win a TYT TH-UV88 analog radio, courtesy of Bob, KJ6UVT, our PAPA Partner from Let’s Get Ready

The Inland Empire Chapter of the amateur radio repeater network PAPA System will be hosting its monthly (second Saturday of the month) breakfast and testing session at 9AM on Saturday June 8, at the Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone, CA. The testing portion of the meeting will begin at 8AM. Attendees can take the amateur radio test for a Technician license or the upgrade tests for General or Extra certification.

A portable amateur radio will be given to any student (elementary – college) who passes their
Technician exam and two ham radios will be raffled off to those non-students passing their Technician
tests. Cost for the testing is $15 (cash or check only). There will be a raffle for breakfast attendees. The winner can pick between a AnyTone analog/DMR amateur portable radio, a Motorola P25/analog
amateur portable radio, a Bioenno solar panel and LiFePO4 battery, and a ham hotspot. Tickets are $20 each. The proceeds will go toward maintaining and enhancing the PAPA
repeater system. RSVP’s are greatly appreciated for both testing and breakfast attendance.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in amateur radio, or the use of two-way radios in emergency
preparedness, and is intended to promote ham radio usage for personal, recreational and emergency
purposes. You do not need to be a member of the PAPA System nor an amateur licensee to attend. The
meeting is scheduled to be held the second Saturday of each month.

The PAPA System is grateful to the Mill Creek Cattle Company for hosting this event and would appreciate attendees buying breakfast to support the business. Attendees interested in testing can RSVP at ai6bx@arrl.net.
Breakfast attendees can RSVP, or ask general questions about the event, at K2EVCham@gmail.com.
